Story : In the year 1617 in Japan, Hanzo Hasashi and the members of the Shirai Ryu ninja clan are attacked by the rival Lin Kuei clan, led by Bi-Han, who has the ability to shape and control ice. Hanzo’s wife and son are frozen and killed by Bi-Han. While Hanzo manages to single-handedly kill all of the Lin Kuei’s attackers, he is killed by Bi-Han using his own kunai and descends to the Netherrealm, in the farthest reaches of Hell.
